182.621099 days

Yes, that equals 6 months and 6 months ago today, Brett & I were allowed to leave the hospital with another person!!! I remember someone telling me that the weirdest thing is that you go in as 2 people, husband & wife. You leave as a family, mother & father. You wonder at the time if you are REALLY allowed to leave with this new being. Kinda Funny. We also were told that time would be the most careful Brett would ever drive...very true. I never thought I would ride in the backseat but that's where I rode home watching this beautiful new baby sit in her car seat that was installed too upright...OOPS! (now corrected!) Well, here we are at half of a year that we have spent learning our new purpose in life & it ROCKS!!!

Landry had her check-up on Friday & she is at 15.8 lbs, 26.5 in and did very well with her shots. She hadn't gained as much weight as I thought she had but she grew almost 2 inches since her 4mo appt! We also tried green stuff yesterday. I made some massed peas & with a little gagging, some frowns & a lot on her face, we conquered a tablespoon! SUCCESS!!!

It's been almost a month since I Blogged...

Here are some recent pics of Miss L. She's getting soooo BIG! We have been so blessed with such an easy baby. She is happy & smiling all the time. She goes to bed around 7 & wakes around 7 with no fuss. She has a few sleeping buddies by the names of Lovey (pink giraffe) & Ella ("my first doll" her Aunt Bella gave her & Gage named :) Whether or not it makes bedtime easier, they are always there! Landry is sitting up so well & tries sometimes to pull her knees under her...NO RUSH!!! I know a little girl that is 1wk older & is crawling!!! I know mobility will only make our job harder so I'm holding off as long as we can :) She absolutely LOVES watching the other kiddos at my Mom's, any other little person definitely catches her attention. This past weekend we went to my Great Aunt's 95th Birthday. Landry got to meet some extended family that she had never seen including my 2nd cousin, Ron, who has a beard. She was not afraid at all, just wanted to feel! What she doesn't know is that she personally met Santa Claus! He is Santa for the FTW Cats BB Team & does other local charity work as Santa! It was nice to see family & celebrate such a milestone.
I hope this finds everyone well & looking forward to our "Texas Fall" as much as we are!
